01About these terms
These terms apply to the use of our website and to every programme, conference, cultural event, fellowship and ambassador activity organised by YACE International ("YACE", "we", "us"). By submitting an application, making a booking or using our website you agree to them.
Individual programmes may have additional conditions, which are shown on the programme page or in your confirmation. If they conflict with these terms, the programme conditions apply.
02Eligibility
Our programmes are open to young people of all nationalities, generally aged 16 to 45. Each programme page states its own age range and requirements.
Participants under 18 need the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, and may need to complete additional forms before taking part. You must give accurate and complete information in your application.
03Applications and selection
Submitting an application does not guarantee a place or a scholarship. Places and scholarships are limited, and selection is made by the YACE team at our discretion. We may ask you for further information or documents during selection.
We may withdraw an offer or a place if information in your application turns out to be false or misleading.
04Scholarships
What a scholarship covers is described on each programme page and in your confirmation. Anything not listed there, for example passport and visa fees, personal expenses or travel insurance, is your responsibility.
Scholarships are personal, cannot be transferred and have no cash value. A scholarship may be withdrawn if you breach these terms or the code of conduct.
05Fees and payments
Application fees and package prices are shown in euros on the relevant programme page. Payments are processed by our payment providers, and we do not store your card details.
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
06Travel, visas and insurance
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, obtaining any visa you need, and meeting the entry and health requirements of the host country. Where we provide an official invitation letter, the decision to issue a visa always rests with the authorities.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and health insurance for the full duration of your trip.
07Code of conduct
YACE programmes are built on respect. Participants must treat everyone with courtesy, follow the instructions of the YACE team, respect local laws and customs, and take part in the programme they applied for.
Discrimination, harassment, violence, illegal activity or behaviour that puts others at risk will not be tolerated. We may remove a participant from a programme for serious or repeated breaches, without a refund.
08Health and safety
Please tell us in advance about any medical condition, dietary requirement or access need that may affect your participation, so we can make reasonable arrangements. In an emergency, follow the instructions of the YACE team and local authorities.
09Photos and video
Our events are often photographed and filmed. Images and recordings may be used on our website, social media and promotional materials. If you prefer not to appear, tell the YACE team at the event or write to [email protected] and we will respect your choice wherever possible.
10Changes and cancellations
We may need to change a programme's content, schedule, venues or speakers. If we make a significant change or cancel a programme, our Refund Policy explains your options.
We are not responsible for failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, government action or transport disruption.
11Liability
To the extent permitted by law, YACE is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for costs arranged by you with third parties, such as flights and visa fees, unless our programme terms state otherwise.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
12Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to YACE or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without our permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
13Privacy
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and GDPR Policy.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. The version in force when you apply or book applies to that application or booking.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
